While the new guys have been taking up all the press, we've been starting to get our spots, so hey check us out! !

Patience is a Virtue

After a nearly 5 hour break,  Pellagrino (yellow) and Propel (black) have joined the gang.  So At 1 AM, we're now up to SIX! This has been a very difficult whelping for me.   I've never had a litter with this much time between pups.   They're doing great.   Eva's doing great.    *I'm* a nervous wreck.   Hard to keep calm and not panic.

Well as you may have guessed, after a looooooooong delivery, we ended up at Lake Alfred Animal Hospital with the wonderful Dr. Mary and a C Section to deliver Eva's last two pups.  Sadly we lost one, but the other (Evian) is thriving and doing well.

This is an incredibly consistent litter with all pups at about 11 oz.  We did get a big surprise.  I'd thought that Eva was BB as well as UU and so that we'd get all black spotted pups.  Silly me!  She'd been tested for the *lemon* gene (which she does not carry) but not for liver!  She is Bb and we have four liver ones in the bunch!

We've decide to go with a "water" theme so we're pleased to introduce:

Light Green/Perrier - liver female

Yellow/Pellagrino - liver female
Black/Propel - black male

Big Ole Pile O'Puppies

All of the pups are growing nicely.  Buzz is consistently the biggest with the two other boys, Woody and Lightning McQueen taking turns in the bottom slot.  The girls are all pretty consistent.

Name That Puppy!

So after talking with some Disney Friends today, we realized that Sweet Tea's pups were born on the 55th anniversary of Disneyland, so what better than Disney names (think of all the photo prop possibilities, Kathy!)  So without further ado, I give you the first mug shot of the litter.  I'll try to do these weekly on Sunday nights to you can see the progress.

Purple/liver boy - Lightning McQueen (Cars)
Light blue/liver boy - Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story)
Orange/liver girl - Merida (Brave)
Green/black girl - Jasmine (Aladdin)
Pink/liver girl - Tinkerbell (Peter Pan)
Brown/liver boy - Woody (Toy Story) **still not sure this boy may be black spotted
